As the 2024 wedding season comes to a close and Millie Bobby Brown dropped THOSE insane photos from her secret ceremony, here’s a look at four breathtaking celebrity weddings which took place in Italy this year and the details you need to know.

Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi

Venue: Villa Cetinale

Little is known about Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown’s secret Tuscan wedding to rock and roll royalty Jake Bongiovi in May, with the couple only dropping photos in October. What we do know is that it took place at the stunning Villa Cetinale (which Architectural Digest called the “most beautiful wedding venue in Tuscany”), there was a huge flower arch, and Millie Bobby’s friend and Stranger Things co-star, Matthew Modine, officiated. The bride had three dresses; a custom Galia Lahav number for the ceremony, a vintage Valentino, and two differentOscar de la Renta’s for the party.

Ed Westwick and Amy Jackson

Castello di Rocca Cilento bears the motto “Here, love reigns”, which Gossip Girl actor Ed Westwick and his Bollywood bride Amy Jackson felt encapsulated that they wanted from their wedding. The bride wore an Alberta Ferretti gown for the ceremony with her bridesmaids donning Rebecca Vallance’s floral dresses, while the groom and groomsmen wore Giorgio Armani. The three day celebration began with a cruise across the Amalfi Coast aboard the Motonave Patrizia, and ended with a brunch underneath the lemon trees at Giardini Del Fuenti in historic Vietri Sul Mare. The couple served classic Neapolitan food at each of the three events.

Former Geordie-shore star Vicky was a long way from Newcastle when she tied the knot with long-time partner, Ercan, in Puglia. The pair had earlier made it official at London’s Marylebone Town Hall, before their lavish symbolic ceremony overlooking the Mediterranean. The bride’s chic laced dress was by Leah Da Gloria, while she wore a bespoke Suzanne Neville for the legal ceremony in the UK. The details of the big day are being mostly kept under wraps for Vicky’s TV show, but we do know that the welcome party featured live music, a Vivienne Westwood dress, and the table decor leaned into tomatoes rather than lemon’s because, in Vicky’s words, “lemons are so last year.”

Rebel Wilson and Ramona Agruma

Venue: Hotel Cala de Volpe

Actress Rebel Wilson married Ramona Agruma on the Italian island of Sardinia, where the pair had holidayed early in their relationship. The September wedding was planned in just three months by Sara Carboni Events and the brides prioritised entertainment, flying in a 20-piece band. The ceremony itself took place under a gorgeous flower arch installed at Hotel Cala de Velope, before guests travelled by shuttle to nearby restaurant Pedri Garden. Both women wore dresses by Pronovias and exchanged Tiffany & Co. rings.
